It’s tough, challenging and a big commitment - do you
measure up??
The whole idea is to sleep under canvas at least one night per calendar
month. You don't have to complete a stage within one calendar year, you can
spend as many years as necessary to get any part. If you miss a month,
sorry, you will have to wait until the same month next year to complete the
missed camp, that’s tough.
Just
one night, it does not matter where, so long as it is under canvas, or in a
bivvy. The back garden will do. You may even decide to build a campsite,
complete with tents inside your normal meeting place!
You can start the Silver Award as soon as you have completed the Bronze.
Likewise with the Gold Award. For the Silver ensure each camp is taken from
the list on your card, leaving 12 different camps for the Gold.
